Snow Patrol has released ‘In the End’ as the latest single off the Fallen Empires set. I’ve blogged about the previous hits ‘Called Out in the Dark’ and ‘This Isn’t Everything You Are.’ Via their home page, the group confirms attendance at the Portugese summer festival Optimus Alive where The Stone Roses, Florence & The Machine and Radiohead will perform. Snow Patrol will perform on July 13^th ahead of Stone Roses. Snow Patrol also recently announced a performance with Calvin Harris in Dubai this March.

Snow Patrol’s Eyes Open Biggest Selling Album of 2006

Snow Patrol formed at the University of Dundee in 1994 and hails from Northern Ireland. They’re based in Glasgow these days. Final Straw (2003) was their debut with sales reaching more than 3 million copies worldwide. The follow-up set Eyes Open included ‘Chasing Cars’ which became a huge international hit single. Eyes Open was the biggest-selling British album of 2006.

I’ve blogged quite about their latest set Fallen Empires which includes brand new tracks. In addition to Optimus Alive, the group will embark on a tour in 2012 as well.
