CHART REFLECTION. Take That has premiered the new artwork of the new single “Kidz” which will be issued on Feb.21. Cher’s Remixes Hit the Dancefloor

CHART PLAYLIST. The new Cher and Christina Aguilera flick Burlesque recently hit theaters in Sweden. WelcheMusic has already covered the groovy soundtrack and a bunch of dance remixes recently bowed on Spotify. “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me” has already topped the US dance chart, becoming the nation’s biggest floor filler. Written by the queen of ballads – Diane Warren – the track got the dance treatment by the likes of Almighty, the Swede Stonebridge and Dave Audé.

Unfortunately, the song failed to qualify for this year’s Oscars. Despite winning a Golden Globe earlier, it was not included among the list of nominees recently announced by the jury.

Robyn and Fleet Foxes Headline Way Out West

CHART REFLECTION. WelcheMusic is happy to say that Robyn and Fleet Foxes will make a welcome return to the music festival Way Out West this summer.  The event will take place on August 11-13th in Gothenburg. Tickets went on sale this week. Despite festivals facing severe challenges, Way Out West has been sold out every year since  it bowed in 2007.

The Seattle-based folk band Fleet Foxes made its debut in 2008, the very same year they performed at the festival. Expectations will likely rise ahead of this year’s appearance as the group will issue its second album this spring. Joel Borg from the group’s promoter Luger says to news daily NSD.se that “Fleet Foxes is an incredibly important act for Way Out West. It was really fun that we were quick to pick up the act in 2008. And they will return to the [Way Out West] festival as a recognized, experienced act that the critics love. The interest will be really great further to the new  release this spring.”

Fleet Foxes’ eponymous debut peaked at No.16 in Sweden upon its release in June 2008, managing to climb to No.3 in the UK. Pitchfork Media, The Times, Billboard and Mojo all named it best album of the year ’08.

Robyn Picks Up Swedish Grammy Awards

Robyn performed at the festival back in 2009. The singer had a successful week, picking up no less than three Grammy awards in Sweden on Tuesday.  Body Talk was the album of the year while “Dancing on My Own” was awarded Song of the Year. She also picked up the composer of the year award with song-writer Klas Åhlund, whom she wrote several of the tracks with. Robyn was nominated in a total of seven categories. Her latest hit “Indestructable” remains at No.7 on the Swedish singles tally this week in its 12th week. Her three Body Talk may all be found in the top ten of the album chart.
