Last week, I wrote that Amanda Fondell probably wouldn’t top the singles chart with ‘All This Way.’ In line with last year’s Idol winner Jay Smith, Fondell would be the second winner ever not to reach the summit. I was wrong, aAnd I’m really glad for Amanda Fondell’s sake!
Amanda Fondell may have gone all the way in the Idol final, but there weren’t enough fans out there to send ‘All This Way’ to the top. Looking at the charts stats below, the trend is unfortunately negative for the past winners.
CHART REFLECTION. ‘Call My Name’ is the latest hit from Swedish Idol contestant Tove Styrke. Already a top ten seller at the Swedish iTunes tally, the track has also been picked up by P3.
CHART SPOTLIGHT. Mary J. Blige originally recorded the vocals for ‘Titanium,’ the UK top twenty hit for French DJ David Guetta. By the looks of it, Australian singer Sia ended up on the final version which bows at No.16 this week.
