As we previously reported on the blog, Sade claimed the top spot immediately with the new album Soldier of Love. According to Billboard, this was the best sales week ever for the group. The album follows Lovers Rock, which peaked at No.3 back in 2003. The set has sold 3.9m in the US alone. Last week’s chart-topper, Lady Antebellum’s Need You Now drops to No.2, while Jaheim is the second highest newcomer at No.3 with the album Another Round. The artist topped the album chart back in 2006 with Ghetto Classics.
