Tara McDonald+Sidney Samson=Dynamite!

CHART SPOTLIGHT. Look out for the brand new single “Dynamite” from Tara McDonald and Sidney Samson. This February, WelcheMusic covered the duo’s recent collaboration “Set Me on Fire.” Tara McDonald announced the brand new video via Twitter, and it looks like real big-budget!

The Fixers Brings Us Swimmhaus Johannesburg

Fixers
Fixers

CHART SPOTLIGHT. We have to admit that a more original title than “Swimmhaus Johannesburg” has not crossed the WelcheMusic radar this side of summer. Fixers is a five-piece group in love with Japanese pop, Middle Eastern music and New York dance grooves of the late 70s. The fab folks at Radio 1 has picked up this cool track, which makes Fixers one of the most exciting new bands to come out of the UK. Not only do they have a complete SoundCloud profile, but also host a wonderful blog. The group has already been praised in NME, The Guardian and the likes and received attention from Radio 1 and 6Music. They’re currently on tour in the UK, and “Swimmhaus Johannesburg” might just become the break that they deserve!

CHART SPOTLIGHT. Bon Iver, who brought us “Skinny Love” recently promoted “Halocene” on the Jimmy Fallon talkshow recently. Fans were a bit disappointed as the singer Justin Vernon had appeared earlier on the same show, only to perform a cover of the ballad “I Can’t Make You Love Me.”
