Eurovision’s Eric Saade to Bow New Set This November

CHART REFLECTION. Eurovision favourite Eric Saade managed to get the message across earlier this week, when giving a performance at Allsång på Skansen. A brand new album is expected this November! WelcheMusic covered the Allsången event last week as it was heavily criticized for promoting songs with sexual content.

While leading news daily Aftonbladet managed to tweak the story as a PR stunt, fans were rather happy to hear that new material is waiting in the wings. The 20-year old singer just released his Saade Vol.1 album on the back of his Eurovision success. Including the entry “Popular,” the set also boosts the No.2 hit “Hearts in the Air.”

Eric Saade is currently on tour and will also promote his album internationally after the summer.

Metronomy’s English Riviera Go Well with the French

CHART REFLECTION. We’ve fallen for the Devon-based electro group Metronomy, especially the latest album The English Riviera which was released in April this year. Despite being English, the group has had more success in France. In addition to making fab music, the group has also remixed artists such as Gorillaz, Ladytron and WelcheMusic favourite Lykke Li.

One Day Next Single from LMFAO?

LFMAO

CHART SPOTLIGHT.  It’s fun to play the guessing-game, and so far we’re a bit confused. WelcheMusic hopes for “One Day” to become the next LMFAO single off Sorry for Party Rocking. Earlier this month we hinted that “Best Night” would become the next single. Yet, Wikipedia has changed the indication for “next single” to “One Day.”

Still a worldwide smash, “Party Rock Anthem” (featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock). It also interpolates lyrics from Rick Ross’ “Hustlin’.” It has been number one in several countries. Also sampling a bit from Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love,” the single has amassed more than 2.5m digital downloads in the United States alone.

Rihanna Confirms “Cheers (Drink to That)” as New Single

CHART SPOTLIGHT. Hooray! Rihanna has confirmed that “Cheers (Drink to That)” will be her next single. As WelcheMusic previously reported, the track interpolates Avril Lavigne’s 2003 hit “I’m With You.” Initially released last November, “Cheers (Drink to That)” will be the seventh single off Rihanna’s Loud set.

The single “Man Down” sparked controversy as the singer was criticized for cold, calculated murder in the video. The 23-year old Barbadian singer has released more than 30 singles since her debut in 2005. Recently, Spotify bowed remixes of her last single “California King Bed.”
