Nayer & Pitbull Revive Elvis Crespo with Suave (Kiss Me)

CHART SPOTLIGHT.  The summer is far from over, and there will be plenty of chances to hit the clubs. WelcheMusic is convinced that the latest cover of Elvis Crespo’s 1998 hit “Suavemente” dubbed “Suave (Kiss Me)” will become a dancefloor filler. Hot on the heels of  “Give Me Everything,” Miami singer and model Nayer returns with the help of both Pitbull and Swedish singer Mohombi. Once again, RedOne has demonstrated his ability to deliver hits. Currently charting with Pitbull’s “Rain on Me,” the Swedish producer has delivered a track similar to Jennifer Lopez’ “On the Floor.”

Back to Nayer, the singer moved to Los Angeles at 14 haven appeared in several ads as well as TV programs such as Sábado Gigante and La piñata loca. Nayer’s new single “Suave (Kiss Me)” is not the first to sample “Suavemente.” In 2005, German techno act Scooter recorded the track. Translating into “smoothly” or “softly” in Spanish, the original is a merengue-style of song, a music and dance from the Dominican Republic. Elvis Crespo is a Puerto Rican-American Latin singer who broke out of the pop group Groupo Manía.

The Wanted to Remain Atop This Sunday

The Wanted - Glad You Came
The Wanted - Glad You Came

CHART SPOTLIGHT. We’ve covered The Wanted relentlessly since the debut last August and WelcheMusic anticipated that the guys would fend off competition with the release of “Glad You Came.” According to Radio1, it looks as if they will continue chart dominance for a second week. The track will remain atop of Sunday’s singles chart ahead of DJ Fresh and Ed Sheeran.

The track has bowed on Spotify UK alongside the remixes mentioned in our earlier blog post. The track has not only topped the UK singles chart, but also claimed the coveted top spots in Ireland and Scotland.

50 Cent Returns with Outlaw

50 Cent
50 Cent

CHART SPOTLIGHT.  Be it that 50 Cent intentionally leaked his own single “Outlaw,” now it’s out via ordinary channels such as iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. The track is yet to appear on any mainstream charts.

The 36-year old rapper, née Curtis Jackson hails from South Jamaica, a neighborhood in NYC’s Queens. At twelve, he began dealing with drugs during the 1980s crack epidemic. The rapper’s unofficial debut album was Power of the Dollar from 2000. It was followed by the compilation album Guess Who’s Back (2002), which caught the eyes of Eminem and Dr. Dre. They helped 50 Cent’s major breakthrough Get Rich or Die Tryin’ to come true in 2003. The set included singles such as the US No.1 s “In Da Club,” “21 Questions” and “Wanksta.”

According to Hip Hop Music Dotcom, 50 Cent masterminded the leak of his own when “Outlaw” bowed earlier this June. The rapper felt that his record label Aftermath/Interscope was delaying the process. MuzikDaily still thinks the man is relevant in the game…plus he’s one hell of a business man and is worth about 400 Mill… Hopefully, EW Music Mix find the new material better than 50 Cent’s 2009 album Before I Self Destruct calling it his worst album ever.

Despite not releasing any material on his own, 50 Cent has frequently collaborated on other productions. Last year he collaborated with Jeremih on “Down on Me,” and earlier this year the rapper added two guest verses on ex-Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger’s “Right Here.” It was adapted for the US market as the lead single off Scherzinger’s album Killer Love. The song premiered on American Idol.
