This year’s American Idol winner Philip Philips earns a No.1 position on the current Canadian iTunes Store chart (upd. 5/27). Officially released as a download on May 23, it is set to bow on the Billboard Hot 100 in its next edition. In the US, Philip Philips has not been able to unseat Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Call Me Maybe,’ who tops the iTunes chart ahead of Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used to Know.’

According to Aftonbladet Nöjesbladet (4), betting companies across Europe put Loreen first. Exclusive research, provided by social media monitoring company Meltwater is the top favorite. The company has analyzed more than 44,000 posts, claiming that more than ten percent favors ‘Euphoria.’

Taylor Swift’s Haunted to Be Featured in True Blood

CHART SPOTLIGHT. Taylor Swift’s ‘Haunted’ will be featured on the upcoming episode of True Blood to be aired this Sunday. According to Rolling Stone magazine, the show’s music supervisor Gary Calamar wanted the show to stretch outside its usual rock and blues sounds that normally accompanies the show. The song was originally included on Swift’s album Speak Now.
