The Wanted’s ‘Glad You Came’ takes a giant leap from 23 to 5 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, the highest peak ever for a UK boy band thanks to the recent Glee performance. I first wrote about The Wanted in the blog post Boy Bands Return with a Vengeance as the UK Welcomes The Wanted in August 2010. Back then, I was convinced that master producer Steve Mac would succeed in putting yet another boy band on the map. I also wrote about ‘Glad You Came’ upon its release last July.
David Guetta and Sia top the UK singles tally this week with ‘Titanium.’ Guetta’s album “Nothing But the Beat” moves 16-9 on the album chart, where Lana Del Rey’s “Born to Die” reigns. A worldwide hit, I’ve already blogged about Mary J. Blige recording a demo version of the track. It also turns out that Katy Perry was offered the track as well.
We’re Swedes and we’re so proud of Robyn who rocked U.S. living rooms in Saturday Night Live this weekend.
