Black Eyed Peas Gets Slashed by Sweden’s Leading News Paper

Sweden’s leading daily news paper, Dagens Nyheter, heavily criticizes Black Eyed Peas’ new album The Beginning. According to the journalist, this is the first time an album has been awarded zero out of five. The article reads that “The Beginning is a long stretched middle finger against humanity.” Black Eyed Peas is the one group who would know about the utter tastelessness. Dagens Nyheter specifically disapprove of the cover of “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” which has been incorporated into “The Time (Dirty Bit).”

The Black Eyed Peas topped the Swedish singles tally with “I Gotta Feeling,” and “The Time” recently bowed at No.25. Let’s see if The Beginning will become a success in Sweden, despite Dagens Nyheter’s review. The group also made it to No.1 in Sweden with “Where Is the Love” (2003) and “Shut Up” (2003).

Black Eyed Peas Goes Dirty Dancing

Black Eyed Peas is set to release its new set The Beginning on Nov.26. The first single to bow from the set is “The Time (Dirty Bit),” which interpolates the classic Dirty Dancing track “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.” The track bows at No.11 on the UK singles tally this week, entering the top slot of the dance chart. The single follows “Missing You,” which was the final single to be lifted off the “The E.N.D.” set. It was only released as a promo single in Australia and France.
