CHART SPOTLIGHT. Née Sarah Jones in Islamabad, Pakistan, this 31 year old singer calls herself Rumer. Her name is taken from author and pen name Rumer Godden. The singer issued her debut album Seasons of My Soul last year. The set has already yielded two UK singles – “Slow” (No.16) and “Aretha.” The third cut to be issued might also be her biggest hit. “Am I Forgiven” already tops Music Week’s ranking of most played tracks on radio ahead of its release.
