Nicki Minaj+Annie Lennox=True

WelcheMusic recently reported about the Haddaway sample in Eminem’s “No Love.” We absolutely love Nicki Minaj’s sample of Annie Lennox’s 1995 hit “No More I Love You’s” in “Your Love.” The track is included on the Minaj album Pink Friday, which currently sits at No.2 on the Billboard 200.

“Your Love” was also included on Minaj’s mixtape “Barbie World” and issued as the first single off the album this June. It peaked at No.14 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Eminem & Rihanna Can Grab a Grammy

Don’t be surprised if Eminem and Rihanna grab a Grammy next year. Their “Love the Way You Lie” competes with Ray LaMontagne, Cee Lo Green, Tom Douglas & Allen Shamblin and Lady Antebellum for the Song of the Year award.

“Love the Way You Lie” was the second single off Eminem’s Recovery set and was issued this August. Produced by Alex da Kidd, the track wasn’t even intended to be on the album and was recorded in the last minute. A second part has also been recorded and included on Rihanna’s Loud album.

Despite being one of the top sellers in the UK, the track failed to make the No.1 spot there. It did top the charts in both the US and Sweden. The follow-up single was released in October – “No Love” peaked at No.23.

According to Last.FM, “Not Afraid” has been the most popular Eminem tune the six last months, followed by “Cold Wind Blows” and “On Fire.” Both tracks are featured on Recovery, but have not been promotional singles.

As WelcheMusic previously reported, Eminem took a trip to Europop lane as he interpolated Haddaway’s “What Is Love?” on “No Love.” The song has already reached No.23 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was issued in the UK on Nov.8. Rihanna+Eminem Unfolds 2nd Part of “Love the Way You Lie”

Rihanna and Eminem reunites in the follow-up to “Love the Way You Lie.” Adding part two to the title, the single precedes Rihanna’s new album Loud, which is scheduled for release on Nov.18^th. Both artists have issued follow-up singles to “Lie.” As WelcheMusic previously reported, Eminem reached No.23 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “No Love” – a track sampling Haddaway’s “What Is Love,” with Lil Wayne as a guest. Rihanna currently sits at No.4 on the Hot 100 with “Only Girl (In the World).”

Loud will be Rihanna’s fifth studio album since the debut in 2005. Then 17 year old singer debuted with “Pon de replay,” which made it to No.5 in Sweden and No.2 in the US and the UK. Born on Barbados, Rihanna was signed by Jay-Z on Def Jam Recordings. In 2009, she was featured on Jay-Z’s “Run This Town.”
