PJ Harvey Lets England Shake

CHART SPOTLIGHT. Fans of PJ Harvey may look forward to the singer’s upcoming set Let England Shake to be released this February. Harvey actually began working on this album during the release of White Chalk in 2007.

It is reported to depart from the piano-driven introspective collection of that album. Written between late 2007 and 2008, the set was recorded during an intense five weeks. Let England Shake is the first album since the 2009 release of A Woman and a Man Walked By. The set peaked at No.25 on the UK album chart, reaching its highest position in Belgium (No.11). Her biggest hit via Last.FM is “Good Fortune.”

Not a typical singles artist, PJ Harvey’s biggest hit to date is “Down By the Water” which peaked at No.2 on the US Alternative chart back in 1995. Her highest peak in the UK is the 1993 album Rid of Me. WelcheMusic previously reported on the anticipated release of Adele’s new album 21, which provides a great start of the UK music scene.
