2010 CHART REWIND. Everybody knows that The Beatles was a hugely successful group. Sales of the groups back catalogue recently spiked following the availability on iTunes. But lo and behold, Take That has passed McCartney & co! At least, if base this on popularity on Amazon. According to a recent announcement by the e-tailer, Take That’s Progress has made the group Amazon’s top-selling artist of all time. WelcheMusic is pleased as long as Susan Boyle doesn’t surpass The Beatles.
Issued last November, Progress became the second fastest-selling album of all time behind Oasis 1997 set Be Here Now. The lead single – “The Flood” peaked at No.2 upon its release, while the second single “SOS” isn’t scheduled for release until February.
