CHART SPOTLIGHT. The world is counting down to the new Britney Spears set Femme Fatale, which is slated for release on March 25.  WelcheMusic is really proud of fellow Swede Shellback, who contributed on no less than three tracks on the upcoming set. Née Karl Johan Schuster in 1985, producer Shellback is a prolific musician. He penned/produced recent hits such as “Fuckin’ Perfect” (P!nk), “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love” (Usher) and “Whataya Want from Me” (Adam Lambert/P!nk).

WelcheMusic covered Shellback when he placed “Raise Your Glass” on the charts back in December last year. Shellback has a background from local rock bands such as Skörda and Blinded Colony. He joined the Maratone production studio in 2007 with nestor Max Martin. Shellback’s breakthrough came with “If U Seek Amy,” Britney’s 2008 hit.

On Femme Fatale, Shellback wrote “I Wanna Go” and “Up and Down” with Max Martin and Savan Kotecha, “Criminal” with Tiffany Amber and Max Martin. Note that “Up and Down” is a bonus track.
