Jersey Shore 4 Goes Italy


CHART REFLECTION. Pop cultural phenomenon Jersey Shore is hitting TV screens after summer. Originally premiering on MTV in December 2009, the fourth installment will take place in Italy. The new season will premiere on August 4 and according to Zap2it, “Fists are pumped, fights are staged, drinks are downed, tongues are enjoined in extreme closeup.” Not surprisingly, the cast was banned from filming at certain tourist hot spots. The Florentian mayor Matteo Renzi has forbidden Snooki & co from appearing near the tourist attractions such as the Uffizi and Boboli Gardens.

 

As WelcheMusic is a true music blog, we’re anxious to see what music will appear on the show. Last year, a Jersey Shore soundtrack was issued. Enrique Iglesias shot a alternative video of  his “I Like It” and the set includes tracks from Taio Cruz, LMFAO and David Guetta.

Spotify Bows Remixes of California King Bed

CHART SPOTLIGHT. Make sure to check out the brand new remixes package on Spotify from Rihanna. The track which was first performed as a country song at the ACM Awards this April, has become a global hit. Lifted off the Loud set, “California King Bed” charted in Australia and New Zealand ahead of its release.  To date, it has peaked at No.47 on the Hot 100, while reaching No.8 in the UK.

Rihanna has collaborated with remixers and producers such as Bimbo Jones, DJ Chus & Abel Ramos, and Bassjackers. You can choose the whole remix package as one playlist or listen to them individually via Spotify.
